The longevity of the NoFloods Flood Barrier components is influenced by the materials used and proper maintenance. Here are the expected lifespans and considerations for various parts of the system:
- Terminals and Junctions: Crafted from durable aluminum, these components can endure for approximately 10 to 20 years when they are treated according to recommended instructions, transported, and handled with care.
- Straps: Straps are constructed from stainless steel and aluminum, contributing to their robustness. When subject to proper maintenance and usage, they are also expected to last for around 10 to 20 years.
- PP and PE (Tubes): The recommended shelf life for parts made of PP and PE, such as tubes, is around 5 years when stored correctly. Proper storage conditions involve keeping the components in a dark and dry environment without exposure to UV light. It’s worth noting that some equipment made from PP and PE has been successfully stored for up to 10 years without issues, although guarantees for extended storage of plastic-related products cannot be provided.
In addition, our NoFloods Recycling Program “Go Green” is available for tubes made of PP and PE. This program extends over a 5-year period, offering the option to replace tubes and obtain new ones at a discounted price. Ensuring proper storage of all components is essential to maximizing their lifespan.
By adhering to recommended practices and maintenance guidelines, you can ensure that the Flood Barrier remains effective and functional throughout its intended operational lifespan.
