SUSTAINABLE WATER BYPASS FOR RIVER AND STREAM WORKS.
The traditional approach has been to build dams upstream and use large pumps to transport water downstream.
Even smaller streams require a large pump set-up and this can lead to radical interferences in nature and wildlife.
Enter “Bypass Barriers” – A More Sustainable Solution
We’ve applied our successful experience from the flood industry to create a “bypass system” that easily creates a dry work area within a body of water.
Here’s How It Works
We use our self-erecting barrier (NoFloods FlexWall) to dam up the water upstream and transport it downstream using gravity in our NoFloods inflatable barriers.
No pumps, energy-consuming machinery or methods that would otherwise disrupt the environment are used.
This New “Bypass System” Is Economical & Environmentally Sustainable
1. It’s economical since it requires very little manpower to quickly deploy and doesn’t consume energy. This ensures a strong cost-benefit.
2. It’s environmentally sustainable since it is deployed and removed manually or with limited mechanical help. Moreover, wildlife such as fish, sediment and micro-organisms can easily and gently pass through the tubes as the work is going on.
More Benefits of Using The NoFloods Bypass System
It Saves Time – It only takes a couple of hours for trained personnel to deploy the NoFloods Bypass system.
This means that a project can start within a short period of time. It also takes the same trained personnel a few hours to remove it once a project is completed.
There is No Noise Pollution – There’s no electrical or mechanical noise attributed to the system since it doesn’t use any energy. This is a huge advantage, especially where construction needs to be carried out near a residential area.
Easy To Store – The NoFloods Bypass system can be easily stored in a big box. It doesn’t require a large storage space like other solutions.
