In a remarkable display of innovation and collaboration, a team of four from JOLA-Rent, equipped with a wheel loader, quickly deployed 200 meters of NoFloods Barriers in just 1.5 hours.

These barriers formed a robust defense against the rising waters, showcasing the power of proactive planning and effective solutions.

Thanks to the quick action and expertise of JOLA-Rent, Rheinbach was shielded from disaster, demonstrating human resilience in the face of nature’s fury.

The Challenge

After heavy rainfall, a creek in Rheinbach, Germany, overflowed, posing a severe flood threat to the town.

At 11:17 PM, the city’s fire inspector urgently requested an emergency barrier, 200 to 400 meters long, to protect the town from impending disaster.

The Solution

The call for help prompted an immediate response.

At 11:20 PM, our German partner JOLA-Rent was alerted.

By 11:50 PM, the team had assembled and started loading the NoFloods barrier.

Departing at 12:35 AM, the team arrived at the operation area by 1:26 AM.

After a briefing with the B-Service, construction began at 2:00 AM.

Using a wheel loader, a team of four swiftly set up 200 meters of the NoFloods Barrier, 1.25 meters high with a 1-meter retention height.

By 2:30 AM, they started filling the barriers with water and by 3:00 AM, initial protective measures were in effect.
